We've had a very exciting day here in the Candy Black studio. Our new photography set up arrived this morning and we've spent the day re-arranging the studio to create a photography base. We spend so much time shooting this that and the other we needed an area to be set up all the time. I'm also ordering bits and bobs for the spring range of MLK&HNY so I've added a little photo below of my desk space today as well.
I love the industrial filing cabinets in our studio, the rough lux style really brings a raw edge to the place. I'm proud to say i created the finish myself, and i found some photos today that i took while transforming the nasty 90's cabinets into retro draws. It takes some elbow grease and time to do but well worth it. The perfect thing to do on a rainy day. All you need is some paint stripper, old cloths and a wallpaper spatula. Get creative!

We were in London on Friday for work, but i managed to swing dinner and cocktails at one of my favourite London restaurants. Navajo Joe is South American themed, and apart from the awesome interiors the cocktails are to die for. If you're ever in Covent Garden swing by for a Honey berry sour cocktail and you wont be disappointed!! The Mexican food is also pretty good! (rubbish images below but the only ones i could find) Check out their website.

I've written about it before and I'll write about it again. I love Convoy!! the images are so awesome and inspiring, this blog never disappoints (kinda the reason why i was so happy to see our studio featured on there) Below are some interior images from the site that have given me food for thought today.

I'm so in love with the amazing idea to paint a large branch white and use it as an over sized hanging display piece for the best bits from your wardrobe. Unfortunately our tiny flat has no space for such a statement, but I'm just waiting for the perfect project to come along! The Style Files - well worth a look.
